Who needs corrective jaw surgery?

In some cases, your upper and lower jaws may have grown at different rates. Injuries and birth defects may also affect jaw alignment. Though orthodontics can usually correct problems when only the teeth are misaligned, corrective jaw surgery with an oral surgeon may be necessary to correct misalignment of the jaws.

I've used Dr. Prather for two oral surgeries. My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted this summer, and Dr. Prather did an outstanding job. She developed a fever afterwards and had some nausea, which I reported to the office. Dr. Prather personally called me several times to check on her. I also had lower tori removed this summer, and was terrified after reading how much pain people were in after the surgery online. Surprisingly, I did not experience much pain afterward and healed very fast. The staff was patient with all my questions before, and made sure my husband and I understood the post-op procedures. The office called me the following day to check on me. I will use Dr. Prather again if needed.
